These distinctive holistic facilities, located in Sítio Três Voltas on the road up to Serra do Piloto, were inaugurated in 2013. Courses, therapies, lectures and meditation take place there in a spot of unequalled beauty, and surrounded by the Atlantic Coast Forest and pure mountain water.

Espaço Terapias Integradas Tamãi was created by therapists Marcelo Henares and Marco Siqueira. Both graduated in the United States and specialized in the Acutonics® method, which employs harmonizations that balance mind and body by means of special sound vibrations. Further details on the benefits by this and other therapies applied in the Tamãi institution – which means ‘wise elders’ in tupi-guarani – may be seen in the official website or through direct contact with the therapists.

A huge circular dome was built in the middle of the property, where all the activities take place. In its inside with a very high ceiling, visitors will be surprised by an impressive set of 14 beautiful gongs with sounds that vibrate in different frequencies.

The outside is an invitation for harmonious contact with nature, favoring walks through rustic trails that include a stretch of the historical Estrada Imperial, refreshing dips in waterfalls or simply practicing meditation facing a lake of still waters, or from a lookout spot with an ample view of the sea in Mangaratiba.

For the increased comfort and peace of mind to Tamãi visitors, there is the Pousada Mirante Imperial inside the property, a guesthouse that provides comfortable accommodation and delightful healthy cooking in its restaurant.

The area in itself is a venue that inspires peace and well-being, and is well worth a visit. However, scheduling is a must as on certain occasions closed groups make reservations and value their privacy with their total surrender to the sounds of nature and therapeutic vibrations.
